2011 Chrysler PT Cruiser

In commemorating nearly a decade of the PT “Personal Transportation” Cruiser’s timeless design, the new Chrysler PT Cruiser Classic embodies the romance of American automotive heritage, styling and versatility that made PT Cruiser an instant hit.Chrysler PT Cruiser Classic’s unique fenders, roofline and high belt-line proportions recall 1930s and 1940s hot-rod styling — while chrome body-side moldings, door handles, 16-inch wheels and grille highlight PT Cruiser Classic’s high level of detail and style.

Originally slated to be discontinued for model-year 2010, Chrysler is continuing production of this compact wagon for at least another year. PT Cruiser is a 5-passenger, 4-door wagon that now comes in a single, Base trim level. The Touring and Limited have been discontinued. The sole powertrain teams a 150-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, and front-side airbags. A sunroof is optional. Also optional is a package that includes heated front seats, power driver seat, and fold-flat front-passenger seat. A newly optional Couture Edition Pacakge includes those features plus leather upholstery and unique interior and exterior trim.

Inside the new Chrysler PT Cruiser Classic continues to lead the small-car segment with its combination of style, craftsmanship and flexibility. Chrome rings highlight the Bright Silver Metallic instrument panel’s three gauges, rotating air vents and Chrysler signature analog clock. A retro proportioned leather-wrapped steering wheel features four spokes with Satin Silver accents and a small center airbag cover for easy viewing of the large gauges. A Satin Silver center stack features conveniently placed climate controls and radio with MP3 input jack, while the center console features a sliding armrest with covered storage.
The PT Cruiser Classic features 32 front- and rear-seat configurations to accommodate any cargo need quickly and conveniently. Command-of-the-road five-passenger seating provides chair-height seating comfort with an elevated second-row for improved visibility and passenger legroom. An available fold-flat front-passenger seat accommodates longer items, such as a ladder or snowboard. PT Cruiser Classic’s 50/50 split-fold rear seats fold-and-tumble to offer quick access for additional room and can be completely removed for up to 62.7 cu. ft. (1.78 cu. m) of cargo space. The tailgate also features a five position shelf panel for additional interior flexibility and utility.
The 2.4 liter inline engine comes with four valves per cylinder and overhead cam. The bore, compression ratio and stroke of the engine will be 87.5 mm, 9.5 and 101 mm respectively. The power from the engine will be 112 kilo watts at the rate of 5,200 rotations per minute and torque will be 164 lb ft at the rate of 4000 rotations per minute. The average fuel economy of the next generation compact car is expected to be 20 miles per gallon. The maximum speed of the 2010 PT Cruiser is expected to be more than 65 miles per hour. Coming to the all new 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche, it gets new styling cues, and several upgrades.

2011 Chrysler Town & Country

The 2011 Chrysler Town & Country now introduces newly styled exterior, a slightly enhanced interior, and the new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engineAt the heart of America, the minivan somehow still manages to find its way into many homes along side of the gas-guzzling SUV alternatives. With gas prices steadily rising, the minivan has become an attractive choice with families needing the extra seating. The new Chrysler Town & Country beckons to fill that void.

Changes under the sheetmetal are larger. For 2011, the Town & Country’s outdated 3.3-, 3.8-, and 4.0-liter V-6 engines have been replaced by Chrysler’s new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. It makes 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and comes only with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive—quite an upgrade from 2010’s base powertrain combo of a 175-hp V-6 and a four-speed auto. Chrysler predicts fuel economy of 17 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway. Those are the same mileage ratings as the outgoing 4.0-liter unit, yet the Pentastar offers appreciable increases over the old engine’s 251 hp and 259 lb-ft. Based on experience with our long-term Caravan, the van didn’t necessarily need more power, although more without additional consumption is fine by us.

The new V-6 is a modern powerplant with dual overhead cams, variable valve timing, and aluminum construction. We’ve already sampled it and found it smooth and satisfying in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Inside of the new Town & Country you will find ample seating for either 7 or 8 passengers depending on the configuration. My 7-passenger Town & Country surprisingly had comfortable 3rd row power-folding seats. The 3rd row is by far the easiest to fold out of the way via the power controls. The power folding 3rd row (Stow n’ Go) offers the ability to fold them fully down or in a reclined configuration all with a push of a button. This is a major selling point for those looking for a minivan that offers easily obtainable flavors of rear seating and storage options. The three-zone climate controls add to the comfort for rear passengers with a full-set of controls to isolate them from the two front zones. Adjustable LED ambient lighting through the rear seating areas and roof put the icing on the cake for this ‘luxury’ minivan.
Chrysler has bundled all its safety technology into the descriptively titled SafetyTec package. Standard on all 2011 T&Cs, it includes a blind-spot warning system, stability control, parking sensors, and more. Other options like Sirius and FLO satellite TV services for rear-seat passengers, as well as the Stow ’n Go folding seats, carry over.

Pricing has yet to be released, but Chrysler says the T&C will be “competitive for its class.” The 2010 model stickered from $26,010 to $36,710 before options, and we expect the 2011 model’s sticker to remain close to those levels. The new van will hit showrooms by the end of 2010. Chrysler says we’ll see it at an auto show before the end of the year, pointing to a Los Angeles show debut in November.

2011 Chrysler 300

Chrysler 300 2011 comes with a myriad of novelty. The design became more soft and dynamic than previous models that handsome but stiff. Chrysler 300 car is known as the Mafia.

The golden crest is gone, but the Chrysler name is still spelled out and surrounded by a pair of wings atop the front-grille frame. The eggcrate grille has been swapped for one composed of sculpted horizontal slats, as seen on the Chrysler 200 and Town & Country (and, unfortunately, the Hyundai Sonata). Projector-beam headlights have evolved to incorporate must-mean-it's-luxury LEDs.
 Chrysler goes high-tech
A sophisticated dashboard-mounted UConnect Touch infotainment system is set to take on Ford’s MyTouch by offering numerous convenience and connectivity features. Chrysler says that the 8.4-inch screen - just over an inch smaller than an Apple iPad - is the largest standard screen in the segment.

Other interior upgrades include new blue back lighting for the gauges, more contoured seats and, Chrysler says, vastly improved interior materials.

Like its Dodge Charger platform mate, the new 300 features a very thorough facelift, leaving elements of the current design somewhat intact. The interior is clearly vastly improved, addressing what was often the biggest complaint with the previous generation of the vehicle.

Although the windshield is more steeply raked, the upright proportions, boxy roofline, and purposeful stance clearly recall the car that nabbed our Golden Calipers back in 2005. But now it's more refined and less cartoonish. Gone are the slab sides and sharp creases that hint at Gotham City chase scenes and staccato tommy-gun fire. Though the muscular wheel arches remain, softer lines and smoother arcs shape the hood and trunklid, while chrome-trimmed taillights serve as a dramatic flourish to this top-hat-to-spats reformulation. The LED daytime running lights are arranged in the shape of a "C" in Chrysler's honor.
Underpinning the new 300 will be Chrysler’s new LY architecture — essentially a heavy rework of the outgoing LX chassis. However, some components have been carried over. Fiat is said be planning future cars on the LY platform as well.

In order to improve fuel economy, Chrysler employed a combination of improved aerodynamics, axle ratios and drivetrains for the latest 300. At the heart of the improvements is Chrysler's all-new Pentastar V6 engines.

The new Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 replaces both V6s that were offered in the LX cars, improving both fuel economy and performance.

Although an eight-speed automatic transmission is planned for the new LY cars, the first year of the new 300 will have to make due with a five-speed unit.

All-wheel drive also returns for the newest model, with the 300 offering a class-exclusive transfer case that allows the front axle to disconnect from the drivetrain when AWD is not needed. Chrysler says the feature can improve fuel economy by up to 5 percent.

Prices will range from $27,995 for a base 300 to $38,995 for a RWD 300C, with AWD versions going up to $41,145.

2011 Chrysler 200

Chrysler has released the first details about the 200 S sedan and convertible. Essentially a design package, the S models feature a unique grille, body-color mirrors, tinted headlights and exclusive 18-inch aluminum wheels. Chrysler has injected a dash of menace into the 200 convertible, and the result is the 2011 200 S droptop. It's not outright evil, since it still packs the same 283-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and the same suspension. However, the S version trends a bit toward the dark side thanks to a host of exterior changes designed to bring a dose of cool to Chrysler's rental lot standby. Naturally, if you prefer your cars with fixed roofs, Auburn Hills will be happy to sell you a 200 S sedan, as well.
The shined-up silver paintwork looks resplendent under the New York Auto Show lights. A Chrysler wing badge sits prominently in the mesh of the black grille, while the headlights also get the black background treatment. The dark theme continues on the S-badged 18-inch aluminum wheels and then winds its way into the cabin.

The front leather seats are heated and the driver can also warm up his or her hands on the heated steering wheel. The S logo is stitched into the headrests, along with a line of contrasting silver accent along the seams.
To spruce up the cabin, designers added a perforated leather steering wheel, heated leather seats, suede accents, and a 276-watt Boston Acoustic sound system.

Both cars are powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that develops 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque.  It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which promises to deliver 29 mpg highway.
The 200 S convertible should hit your local dealer later this spring, and will arrive carrying an as-delivered price tag of $32,490, while the sedan rings up at 26,790. 2011 Chevrolet Equinox

General Motors (GM), Friday (26 / 3) announced the expansion of production to Canada. The manufacturer says, has moved one work shift to the GM assembly centers located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The third shift was put in place to boost production of the Chevrolet Equinox, a crossover variant as demand was increasing.
"Therefore, we immediately transport (by boat) body (car) that has been assembled (from USA) to Oshawa to do so on the finalization of painting and assembly," said the source of GM,

A more assertive figure was inspired by the Chevrolet Malibu and Traverse SUV that looks great on the grille, headlamp sharp, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear dynamic.
General Motors also increases comfort for the latest five-passenger crossover Chevrolet them. The cabin is ergonomically and best quality materials combined with the rest of the cabin. The second row seats can be shifted up to 203 mm for a spacious leg room. In addition, the rear seats can be folded flat to the floor in order to provide roomy luggage space up to 889 liters.

For machinery sector, Chevrolet offers two engine choices 2.4-liter gasoline and 3.0 liter. Version 2.4-liter 182 hp and spawn workers have been equipped Ecotec technologies that make more economical use of fuel 25% compared to first generation Equinox. Testing the Chevrolet Equinox proves capable of exploring 11.2 kilometers with a liter of gasoline (outside town). As for fuel consumption in the city also exceeds the estimated Chevrolet 1 km / liter to 7.7 km / liter.
Attainment Equinox is listed as the most efficient vehicle in its class. While the mechanical heart 3.0-liter DOHC V6 that produces 264 hp power, capable of consuming fuel 8.75 km / liter (outside town) and 6.3 km / liter (in town). High efficiency is also aided system 6-speed automatic transmission is sophisticated and the latest precision, called Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT).

As is known, is a variant of the Chevrolet Equinox crossover (cross between a sedan with Sport utility vehicle) made by GM. 3600 cc V6 engine vehicles were equipped with brand-new transmission technology, that is Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT). Counterfeit electrical transmission is also used in some models of Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
For standard devices, Equinox has been equipped with various safety devices such as 6-airbags, disc brakes at all four wheels, StabiliTrak electronic stability control and OnStar. In America, Equinox valued U.S. $ 23,185 or approximately USD 231, 85 million. Equinox is a car that is value for money with the addition of only U.S. $ 1,800 from the previous model of Equinox, said Ed Peper, vice president of GM North America.

2011 Chevrolet Cruze

As the replacement for the mediocre Chevy Cobalt, the front-drive 2011 Chevrolet Cruze offers perhaps the most dramatic example of the transition to "New GM," a product renaissance that began a couple of years before the automaker's financial problems. GM has never been able to make money on small cars, and yet it expects to make money on the Cruze four-door sedan.

At 181-inches long, 70.7-inches wide and 58.1-inches tall on a 105.7-inch wheelbase, it's on the large side of the compact car class, equal to a midsize car in such dimensions as trunk space, Chevy says. The car launched in Europe in early 2009 with the base, 1.8-liter four only, an engine that doesn't do much for performance.
Exterior
Raising the bar and turning heads

Cruze has a distinct look — one you won't see in other cars in its class. Its beveled hood, sharp angles and sculpted fenders are details generally reserved for luxury vehicles — but not anymore.
Interior
Generous room and comfort

Cruze only seems like a compact from the outside. Inside, it's a different story. The cavernous interior of Cruze not only has more passenger room than Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, but it also has more cargo space too. That's something to brag about, but Cruze chooses to go about things quietly in the interior. It's designed with 30 distinct acoustical treatments — including a triple-sealed, acoustic-laminated glass windshield — to create a serene interior.
Engine
Cruze Eco offers 42 MPG Highway

Cruze is very efficient already, offering 36 MPG highway(6). Introducing the newest member of the lineup - Cruze Eco - that offers an incredible 28 MPG city/42 highway(6). That's better gasoline fuel economy than 2011 Ford Focus, 2011 Honda Civic and 2010 Toyota Corolla(8). Cruze Eco is equipped with the powerful and efficient 1.4L turbocharged engine. Engineers then added new components to help reduce drag and improve aerodynamics.
 Sophisticated performance, ride and handling

How do you create an efficient car that's fun to drive? It has to start with the engine. The available 1.4L turbocharged engine is the ideal size — small yet powerful — designed for efficiency without compromising performance. It delivers 138 horsepower and accelerates with authority. Cruze takes on tight corners with rack-mounted electric power steering and a race-proven Z-link rear suspension(9). It's a driving experience you might not expect in a compact. And that's the point.

Fuel-saving technology no compact can compete with.

Cruze has solutions most compacts don't offer. Its standard six-speed transmissions, like the manual in Cruze LS, help offer 26 MPG city and 36 highway(6). Cruze LT and LTZ have a six-speed automatic transmission and the 1.4L turbo-charged engine - a performance increase that helps Cruze offer 36 MPG highway(6). Cruze Eco offers up to 42 MPG highway based on EPA estimates(7). That's better standard highway fuel economy than 2011 Ford Focus or 2011 Honda Civic and 2010 Toyota Corolla offer(8).

Performance & Handling
The Cruz ECO model has less sound-deadening than other versions, saving about 275 pounds. Its low-rolling resistance tires squeal easily in tight corners while its taller gearing lengthens its acceleration times. The Cruze LTZ with its standard 18-inch wheels is the sport sedan version, sacrificing some ride quality for sharp handling. The LT with the base suspension nicely compromises ride and handling.
Safety
Chevy claims a class-leading 10 airbags, including front, side curtain bags, front and rear outboard seat airbags, and knee bags, first in its class. StabiliTrak with rollover sensing, traction control and anti-lock brakes is standard.
